Our Programs

MUDI offers two distinct debate programs to best fit the needs and expectations of our students, as well as their parents and coaches. Our Regent policy program is two weeks long with a broad emphasis on theory comprehension, research, and skill development. Our Scholastic policy program is a one-week program with special emphasis on theory and research.

While we understand that cost can be a determining factor in the decision to attend camp, our two week Regent Program is highly recommended for the less experienced debaters, as needed time for skill development and practice debates occur during much of the second week. The Scholastic program follows the Regent schedule and provides the same theory and research work time, however, does not provide the same time allotted to skill development. Both the Regent and Scholastic programs are designed for students with more experience in the activity.

Lab groups remain small across our programs to ensure individualized attention; with 1-6 being the idea faculty/student ratio. And unlike most institutes, students have opportunities to engage in dialogue with all of the faculty - not just their assigned lab leaders - through group lectures and specially tailored seminars. Overall, MUDI strives to provide every student with the best educational experience possible.
